NH Hoteles is strengthening its position in Mexico by opening a new hotel in Querétaro in the near future. This new hotel, aimed at business executives, means that NH Hoteles will have 14 hotels with 2,937 rooms and 3 projects with 380 rooms on their way in Mexico. The new hotel will start operating in the second half of 2006.
Querétaro is a colonial city 200 km north of Mexico City, in the centre of the country. It has been declared a "World Cultural Heritage" site by UNESCO. This city, has one of the strongest economies, has modern industrial parks and a growing presence of foreign companies.
The hotel, which will have 140 rooms, will be sited in a privileged location, on the Avenida 5 de Febrero, one of the main avenues in the city, near the city centre and the main industrial parks in Querétaro.
The hotel is a new building, which will provide facilities with all the comfort that is a standard feature of NH Hoteles: satellite TV, satellite dish, Wi-Fi internet connection and gymnasium. The hotel has 300 m2 of space for meeting rooms, a restaurant, bar-cafeteria and installations adapted for the handicapped.
Francisco Zinser, the General Manager of NH Hoteles en Mexico, said that: " The hotel will involve an investment, made jointly with local partners, of around 8.5 million dollars" (EUR6,632,295).
